Three Village Educational Foundation Gala 2010

The Three Village Educational Foundation’s (3VEF) Fourth Annual Gala event was hosted at the Three Village Inn on October 21, 2010. Each year, the foundation uses the proceeds gained from the different fundraisers it coordinates to support its Teacher Mini-Grants program, which provides teachers with the funds necessary to complete projects that are not financed with the District’s annual budget.

In addition to their fundraising efforts, the Foundation also pays tribute to members of the community who help to make a difference in education. This year, teachers, administrators, Board, and community members came together to honor Michael Ardolino and Cheryl Pedisich.

Mr. Ardolino is President of the Three Village Chamber of Commerce, Executive Vice President of Realty Connect USA, and a member of the 3VEF Board of Directors. Ms. Pedisich is the Three Village Central School District’s Assistant Superintendent for Educational and Pupil Personnel Services. Both Mr. Ardolino and Ms. Pedisich were honored for their support and their contributions to the school district and community.

President of the 3VEF Board of Directors, Chris Buzzanca, presented the award to the honorees. Ms. Pedisich, who has been with the District throughout her educational career, commented, “Roots anchor us and help us to stand tall; wings allow us to soar to our dreams, to take risks, to aspire to be something great.” She further explained how she considers Three Village to be her family, and that her motivation is supported by a caring community that values all students. Mr. Ardolino spoke about the joy of being a part of the Three Village Central School District, of giving back to the community, and how “it’s all about our children.”

The Fourth Annual Gala concluded with fundraising raffles. Prize baskets were awarded and followed by a live auction for Yankees tickets.

The Three Village Educational Foundation (3VEF) was established in 2004 in recognition of the need for increased support to sustain the traditional margin of excellence in the Three Village Central School District. The 3VEF, a private, nonprofit organization, seeks to obtain financial resources from businesses and individuals to support, enrich, and enhance the quality educational program provided to district students. Funds gifted to the foundation are used towards providing students, teachers, and residents with programs and educational resources not funded for through the district's annual operating budget.
